Site Details
A large stately home and tourist destination close to Woodstock town centre, set in a large park. There is a large ornamental lake formed from the dammed waters of the River Glyme. The Lake is divided in two by the Grand Bridge: Queen Pool (including Queen Elizabeth's Island) lies to the north of the bridge, and the main lake is to the south. The surrounding parkland and gardens are also productive. The site is popular with tourists and locals alike, so early or late visits are recommended.
