Site Details

Small reservoir that lies on the Mansfield/Sutton-in-Ashfield border surrounded by farmland on one side and a main road (Sutton Road) on the other. Breeding species include Grey Wagtail, many Whitethroats, Reed Buntings, Sedge Warblers, Goldfinch and Lapwing. Species regularly seen on a day-to-day basis include Sparrowhawk, Kestrel, Kingfisher (mainly winter), Goldeneye, Snipe, Grey Heron, etc.

Two entrances, one off Sutton road near dual petrol stations and one on A38 turn off.
