Site Details
Little-watched but interesting site, a short distance south of Wigan town centre. Located between the A49 (Warrington Road) and the B5238 (Poolstock Lane) with the River Douglas forming the northern boundary. A council-owned site containing two small lakes with much fringing vegetation; also planted meadow areas and developing woodland.

Footpaths go right around and also bisect the lakes. The main habitats are between the lakes and the River Douglas. The site is probably most productive early morning due to the proximity of housing on the southern side of the site.Did you know that you can submit photographs to be included in this sites image gallery?
