Site Details

A reserve of open water, reedbeds and pools

The reedbeds consist mainly of common reed, bulrush and lesser bulrush (or reed mace). The principal interest of the reserve is the water, rich in nutrients causing excessive plant growth, which gives rise to a large and varied micro-fauna.
