Site Details

Between Blaydon and the A1. A large pond with adjacent marsh, reedbeds and scrub. Owned and managed by Gateshead Council. Specialities include winter wildfowl and white-winged gulls, autumn waders and summer warblers. Water Rail regularly seen. Rarities for site have included Laughing Gull, Bearded Tit and Marsh Warbler.
