Site Details
Approximately 1½ miles long by ¾ mile wide, Brownsea Island lies just inside the entrance to Poole Harbour. It offers magnificent views across the harbour, the Purbeck Hills and Studland Bay. Just a short and enjoyable boat trip from the bustle of Poole or Bournemouth, the charm of the landscape, the rich variety of wildlife and an intriguing heritage make Brownsea a fascinating place to visit.

The following facilities for visitors are all conveniently situated near to the Quay: National Trust shop (telephone 01202 700852); National Trust Coffee Shop serving coffee, lunches and teas (closes 30 minutes before last boat departs); Tuckshop; Information and Island Video Show; Lavatories; Nursing Room; Baby changing room; One front-facing baby carrier and one backpack carrier; Eight all-terrain baby buggies.Site Photographs
