Site Details
Owned by the RSPB. Extensive mudflats in the estuary of the Hayle River at Hayle. Good for waders, wildfowl and gulls. There are several key areas, but the whole estuary can produce birds. Favoured sites include Carnsew Pool SW553372; Copperhouse Creek SW560378; Lelant Saltings SW544366; and Ryan's Field SW548362.

Directions
The estuary can be accessed from the B3301 which runs alongside it. Carnsew Pool and Copperhouse Creek have public footpaths around them and Ryan's Field has a car park and hide.Parking
Don't park in the Quay House car park - instead, use Ryan's Field and walk across. The tea house next door is run by bird-friendly people. They usually have a telescope set up overlooking the estuary.Opening Times
