Access
Access to the wader habitat at Willington can be made from the cycle track. Just before the cycle track goes over the bypass there is a track off to the left that goes towards some newer pits. Take this track (that seemingly dog walkers, cyclists and birders are allowed to go along) for about 300 yards to view the drained pit on your left. A privileged few have the right to wander at will around this area but please bare in mind that most of this area is private landSite Photographs
