Brasher Countrymaster II GTX walking shoes

The Brasher Boot Company supplies outdoor walking boots and shoes that are designed with both comfort and durability in mind. I recently tried out a pair of the new Countrymaster ll GTX shoes.

This shoe is now lighter than the original version (at 1,035 g a pair), with enhanced comfort and greater flexibility. They certainly lived up to the manufacturer’s claims of “from the box comfort” and were an instant and perfect fit. Rubber soled, with a shock absorbing REVA midsole, they have high strength, abrasion-resistant brown leather uppers, and benefit from GORE-TEX waterproof and breathable linings.

While I probably wouldn’t select these for any serious hill walking (and Brasher has many other boots more suited to this heavy-duty activity) I would certainly recommend them for more casual birding excursions, particularly if you like to arrive for after-walk refreshment at a country pub looking stylish.
