The latest exhibition to be hosted by the Scottish Ornithologists' Club (SOC) will launch at the end of this month.

'Interpretations' brings together four artists, each with a personal take on the natural world. They aim to interpret their subject while retaining its essential truth and look to achieve this through the dedicated study of nature. The show will include metal sculptures by Helen Denerley (whose "Giraffes" outside the Edinburgh Playhouse are well known); bold woodcuts by Greg Poole; pastels by Lara Scouller and drawings, paintings and prints by Nik Pollard.

The exhibition opens on Saturday 31 August (opening reception from 2 pm) and runs until 9 October. Opening times are from 10 am until 4 pm and entry is free. Waterston House is at Aberlady, East Lothian (EH32 0PY).
