October's Birdwatch on sale tomorrow

The October 2019 issue of Birdwatch goes on sale tomorrow [Thursday 26 September] and this month takes an in-depth look at Black Redstart. David Callahan examines various the current status of the bird in Britain, along with the fascinating life and history of the species on our isles.

Also in this edition, Dominic Mitchell takes a look at Ruff, Buff-breasted Sandpiper and Upland Sandpiper in our ever-popular monthly photo ID guide; the latter two you may be lucky enough to encounter in October.
