Kent police appeal after Tawny Owl killed

The suspected killing of a Tawny Owl by two men in Upchurch is under investigation by the Kent Police Rural Task Force, according to Raptor Persecution UK.

It is believed that the incident occurred in October 2022. Police officers have recently acquired images of two men they would like to speak to.


Kent police are appealing for anybody who knows either of these men to come forward with information (Kent Police).

Darren Walshaw, Kent Police Sergeant, said: "We suspect an owl was killed using catapults and are now issuing photographs of two people who may be able to assist with our enquiries. Anybody who recognises one or both of them is urged to contact our appeal line."
