Have your say on the future of the natural environment

The Government recently launched a Natural Environment White Paper discussion document to ask for your views on nature. Anyone can take part, whether you enjoy a walk in the woods, wildlife photography, gardening, birdwatching, visiting nature reserves or enjoying nature with your children or grandchildren. The Government want to hear your views, though, on how nature in the UK should be protected and enhanced for us all to enjoy.

Chris Packham (The Wildlife Trusts' Vice-President) tells you why you should get involved (Film: TheWildlifeTrusts).

The Government's online survey only takes a couple of minutes to complete and is a great opportunity for anyone who cares about wildlife and the environment to let the Government know how important this is. The deadline for completing the survey is Saturday 30th October, so please play your part in nature's recovery. To encourage as many people as possible to respond to this survey, the Wildlife Trusts have set up the playyourpart4nature website, containing background information on the White Paper and a link through to the Defra survey. Or go straight to the Government's survey here.

Stephanie Hilborne (Chief Executive of The Wildlife Trusts) explains why nature and the Natural Environment White Paper are so important (Film: TheWildlifeTrusts).
