Global Birdfair gets ready to open its doors

Final preparations are being made at the Rutland Showground in Oakham as it prepares to host the inaugural Global Birdfair next Friday, Saturday and Sunday [15-17 July 2022].
With well in excess of 200 exhibitors and a packed schedule of events and lectures, it offers the chance to indulge in all things bird-related.
This year, the fair will be raising funds to help restore La Janda in Spain. Once the largest inland lake in Europe, restoration work will be critical in helping resident and migrant birds alike.
