BirdGuides News Manager: we are recruiting

BirdGuides and the BTO are partnering to improve and simplify the collection and distribution of bird sightings data. Our aim is to ensure the usefulness of the information both for scientific research and to the birding community. We intend to appoint a news manager to join BirdGuides working closely with the BTO to help achieve this.

We are looking for a strong communicator, familiar with information technology, and with the ability to forge relationships with key players in the birding arena. A solid understanding of current bird news services, including BirdTrack, BBS and the Bird Atlas, will be essential.

The position is likely to be based at BirdGuides' office in West London, although we may consider working from home for the right candidate. Regular meetings both in London and at the BTO's HQ in Thetford will be essential.
