Taken on 24/10/2010
Status - not common winter visitor Our team, on 24th October 2010, saw 4 Sociable Plover in this area. As we saw them, they were still for 4 to 5 minutes looking in our direction and then start doing there routine activity of searching food, as if completely unaware of our presence. We observed that they have a very unusual habit of feeding, they first scrape the soil to search insects but at that time in place of looking toward the soil, which they were scraping, they look straight. After that they hold the food in there claws and feed themselves. The team members - Mr. Surat Singh Pooniya, Mr. Devendra Bharadwaj, Mr. Tej kumar Sharma, Dr. S. Kelkar and his wife & Mr. Vaibhav Mishra
