Some consider the Somali Ostrich pictured a separate species Struthio camelus molybdophanes. It is apparently distinctly different from the Common Ostrich as it has blue legs as opposed to pinkish grey. What struck seeing one in the wild is just how beautiful they are. They may have a partial oven ready appearance but the feathering is gorgeous and they move over great distances at ease and with amazing grace. Fitting one in a photo showing the detail isn't easy either and had me desperately changing lenses as it sped past !
