A superb adult, that dropped in at dusk and ended up 4 feet away from myself and Charlie Owen. This is the first I have ever seen in mid winter at the flash in my 37 years of birding there, and this is what patch bird watching is about. Getting the odd reward for all the hours put in seeing very little. This bird is well off course and should be far out to sea somewhere, as these are true sea gulls ,not 30 miles inland on the flash. The Glow on the breast is from the sunset .
