Taken on 10/12/2018
Two Goldcrests came into our small suburban garden this morning and were bathing in the pond. They were with a mixed flock of birds which stayed for about 5 minutes, including many Tits (especially Blue Tits, but also one or two Coal Tits and Great Tits) and a Tree Creeper. This same mixed group of birds also appeared in the garden for about 5-10 minutes 3 weeks ago, which seems strange to us as it appears they are living and moving with each other. It is many years since we have seen a Goldcrest or a Tree Creeper in the garden. (The photos were taken through double glazing, hence not excellent quality.) I will attach a second photo of the bird splashing.
