It seems to me to be Pacific Golden because of the long tertials, and relatively long bill and legs. Another picture which I submit shows relative size against Golden Plover and yet another the legs. This bird arrived at dusk for 3 successive days. I saw what I believe to be the same bird in October 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009 as well as 4th May, 2009!! The October birds all sat on the same dead rush tump or one very near it... in successive years. Some navigation.
