Silence has shrouded upon Turton Golf course. Wednesday 19th June, that magical, memorable song has gone. Not one for 'Twitching!', this melodic gem came to my patch and I embraced it with open arms. After four days of constant song, he came up against the dilemma of song or feed. On Monday am, 17th June he was torn between the two and I was fortunate enough to capture this. I post two shots from that morning that depict his indecision. I now sit along the side of the fairway of hole three with almost silence, with a feeling that my life long pet dog has died. A roller coaster week for me, a lifer and the best birding experience of my life. Thank you Antony Wainwright, Turton Golf Course, Greenkeeper and finder of the Lancashire Greenish Warbler. Hope you like the photos!
