Having spent hours trying to photograph this bird yesterday, little did I realise what today would bring. It's a very blustery day here, and having just received visitors in the form of daughter and grandson on their way back to school from the dentist's, we heard a thud on the glass window of our back door. I was devastated to see my resident garden Chiffchaff lying in an awkward position of the ground. Picking him up, I was amazed how tiny he is. To my delight he started to recover, so I passed him gently to my grandson to hold while I grabbed my camera.
