Female. Photo taken mid -afternoon in sunny bright conditions. Very similar to Autumn female Pied Wheatear & ID (at time of writing) remains somewhat controversial. Upper parts grey-brown with some delicate, subtle fringing to the mantle, scapular and also some crown feathers. The nape is plain & unfringed. Breast band is orange tinged with darker brownish-orange at the edges near the wings and lacks any hint of duskiness. Central throat is very pale creamy white. Also noted fine whitish lower margin to throat giving sharp separation from the breast band, delicate pale orange malar stripes and pale creamy white sub-moustachial stripes, dark blackish lores (especially just in front of the eye), moderately dark orangey-brown ear coverts etc.
