Red Grouse on the Lammermuir Hills in the Scottish Borders. The heather moorlands hear are simply stunning with the heather in pristine condition. The picture show the huge feet that these birds have which are rarely seen. The Latin name for the red grouse is Lagopus lagopus scoticus. Lagopus meaning hairy legs, they certainly got that right.
