Critically Endangered species. According to the California Condor Recovery Program, as of 31 December 2020, there were only 504 California Condors left in the world: 329 of them free flying, the rest are captive. This particular bird with a tag number "92" is a male that hatched at Oregon Zoo and then released in the wild at Pinnacles National Park in California. He is almost 8 years old. As all other free flying California Condors, he has a radio-transmitter and GPS-locator attached to his wings' tags. The scientific name of this species - "Gymnogyps californianus" - means Naked Vulture of California because of its featherless head and neck. Taken at Pinnacles National Park.
