I was fortunate to witness the courtship ritual of these Peaceful Doves It all started on a branch of a tree close to the edge of a water inlet They moved towards each other nodding in unison, after which they flew to the ground, the male then flew above the female with the female taking a submissive position, crouch close to the ground. The male returned to the ground and then both flew up into the air together resulting in this interesting photo, returning to the ground they flew off together into the safety of the tree.
