I watched this guy sitting on a pole infront of the Bishop Hide at Cley for a while, he then flew up and over the hide. I decided to go outside to see if he was hovering at the back of the hide, and maybe get a few shots . On leaving the hide I turned round to be confronted by the Kestrel looking down at me from the roof of the hide , we stood there looking at each other for about a minute, before he flew off. I of course wouldn't normally advocate trying to get this close to a subject , but it enabled me to get a shot only normally available with captive birds, and the Kestrel seemed quite happy.
