Back again in my favourite part of Europe for bird photography.
A scarce variation on the usual Kestrel. Lighter markings and feed on a diet of grasshoppers, hence they migrate and breed where there is a plentiful supply. The steppe region of the Altejento in Portugal is one of those areas, and bird conservation projects erect buildings with suitable nest holes to ensure they breed and survive.
Canon 600mm and much help from a camouflage mesh covering me and camera.
