1st-winter Robins. A British melophilus (left) and extreme pale Continental bird rubecula/tataricus (right), possibly from more easterly area such as Urals. For rubecula/tataricus, note almost yellow throat (more orangy at sides), blackish legs, more obvious white behind eye, smaller bib (look at reduced extent around eye), colder olive (hint of grey) on upperparts, differences in tail fringes and uppertail coverts, bigger grey triangles on nape sides that almost join and thinner primaries.
