Little egrets can be seen now in most places. When I started Birdwatching, they were only just spreading northwards and they were still very rare at Marshside, my 1st one here was in October 2006. Now that they are more abundant, one can expect to see several of these when they visit the reserve year round. On this trip, there were at least a dozen scattered about and when I saw this one sat in one of the ditches - I couldn't resist stopping to take this picture.
