I was waiting for the Barn Owl hidden behind my tripod / bag hide when a pair of Cuckoo started collecting caterpillars from along the path. To start with they were quite distant and, despite being interrupted by passers by twice, returned and slowly got closer, laways using the posts to scan from. I witnessed some excellent behaviour (flicking the innards from the caterpillars, tail wagging by the male and ironically chasing the Barn owl off) and at one point they were sat on adjacent posts each with a caterpillar. Unfortunately this was after the sun had dipped and the light was awful. This shot was just 1/50s, F4 and ISO 1600 as an example. Perseverance does pay!
