I consider myself very lucky to get these shots. After waiting around for some time at the regular watchpoint for these birds and seeing nothing I decided to move on. A few hundred yards further down the road I saw a Marsh Harrier feeding near the road so I pulled in at the nearest layby and got some handheld shots. I then put the camera on the tripod and waited to see if the Marshie would reappear. A couple of minutes later this bird came overhead with prey. I wanted to make this clear as I know these birds are our rarest breeding raptor but I have no idea where the nest is, I have no intention of disturbing any birds and it was pure luck that I got these shots.
