It was very windy and the plover was far out enough to only be able to get a few record shots. At least he showed very well during my visit. Here I attempted something that would normally be a crazy thing to do, is to add a 1.4x converter to a powerful zoom lens! It has softened the image, but it's not bad considering the weather conditions and with the sun out! Apparently, the kentish plover was separated from the common ringed plover in 1802 and named so after specimens were sent to a guy called Latham from Sandwich in ..... Kent!
