Taken on 11/03/2014
I got to the beach slightly too soon - I was hoping to arrive an hour or so after high tide - but the tide was still to turn, and a group of turnstones was waiting at the edge of the sea waiting for it to recede and expose the freshly stocked rock pools. Amongst the turnstones was this one sanderling who stayed dozing and grazing with the rest of the flock for the two hours I watched.
