Taken on 22/05/2021
Actually taken at Strathbeg lagoon near to the RSPB Reserve. Was in the company of 46 Barnacle geese one of which was wearing a GPS neck collar. Later found out that the tagged bird was ringed as a female gosling in 2005 and winters in the Solway Firth. Later on 22/05 the birds flew across the North Sea to land in Norway by evening. No doubt en route to Svalbard but the Richardson's needs to make a left turn somewhere along the way if it wants to get back home! Thanks to WWT and Kane Brides for the ringing info.
