It's been on Keptie Pond in Arbroath for most of the winter and behaves as the wild Tufties and Wigeon it hangs around with, thought to be the same bird as one last winter. Some suspicion originally as to its origins as a Pintail/Mallard drake and three duck hybrids are also on the pond. The Scaup has been seen at other sites within a 10 mile radius, one on the coast and one inland.
