Razorbill by Steve Race
Bempton Cliffs RSPB takes some beating when it comes to photographic opportunities for various auks and Gannets, and it is from this site that this week's winner was taken.
Steve Race has managed to capture this superb shot of a flying Razorbill hanging in the wind; with wings and tail spread, wind ruffling the feathers and head turned towards the photographer, it is hard to imagine a more perfect flight shot than this. The exposure is spot on and the uncluttered background just sets it off beautifully.
Congratulations to Steve on his Photo of the Week, which was taken with a 300 mm lens, shooting at 1/1600th second at f8 on ISO 400.
