The 16th annual BirdGuides Photo of the Year is here – and, once again, the winner will be decided by you.
As ever, we've been left amazed by the stunning variety and exceptional quality of our contributors' uploads throughout 2021, as a look through the Photo of the Week gallery will testify.
The 52 winning images of 2021 have been whittled down to a shortlist of 10 through a careful process of deliberation by the BirdGuides and Birdwatch team. This year's was a particularly close affair, with more than half of the year's winners making it into the team's collective shortlists – demonstrating just how subjective photography can be.
However, we're finally in agreement with the choices we've come up with. Now it's up to you to choose your favourite from the selection below and cast your vote.
