BirdGuides programs and Windows 7 "QT-MT335.dll was not found" error message (This does not apply to standard 32-bit Windows 7.) If you are using the 64-bit version of Windows Vista or Windows 7, you may see an error message after installation when you launch BWPi, saying that the file qt-mt335.dll was not found. To rectify this, run this patch:
Double-clicking the BWPi icon should now start the program correctly. If this fails to solve the problem, a manual fix is as follows:
Double-clicking the BWPi icon should now start the program correctly. QuickTime If Windows 7 says that it is changing the colour settings to basic when you open a BirdGuides program, you need to upgrade QuickTime to the latest version to enable the program to run in full-colour mode. Once the latest QuickTime is installed, if you have BWPi and find your Distribution maps are missing, please see below. Missing distribution maps in BWPi See www.birdguides.com/bwpi/knownissues.asp. BWPi 2006 on Windows 7 BWPi version 1.0 is compatible with Windows 7, but unfortunately the BWPi 2006 update disk will not update the program properly on Windows 7. If you have BWPi 1.0 and the BWPi 2006 disk and are upgrading your PC to Windows 7, you will need to exchange your two disks for the single BWPi 2.0 disk, for a successful installation. You can upgrade these two disks to the single disk BWPi 2.0 for an administration fee of £10: please call Sales on 0800 919391. Please email if you still have problems with our programs on Windows Vista. | |||||
