Provided you have cookies enabled in your browser, when you visit a page on the BirdGuides website that requires you to log in, the login page automatically fills in your email address, and invites you to supply the matching password. This restricts access to your BirdGuides account to password-holders only.
In response to subscriber demand, we've added this additional "Remember my password" box to the login page. If you tick this box when you log in, both your email address AND your password (disguised as asterisks) will thereafter be filled in automatically on that computer, and all you need to do to log in is to click the Login button.
You should NOT tick this box if the computer you use is in a public place or used by other people, particularly if you are a subscriber to any of our services, as they will then be able to access your BirdGuides account and settings.
The "Remember my password" box only applies to the use of the BirdGuides website on that particular computer and does not affect other websites or the way you access the BirdGuides website from other computers. The setting will be lost if your BirdGuides cookie is removed or expires on the computer in question.
