Simple Text Asset Search

Click on the Search button in the Features Toolbar or select Search in the Features Menu to display the search dialog. The default scope of the search is to look in Papers and Main Articles texts.

Just enter a word in the Search Field (e.g. kingfisher) at the top of the search dialog and click on the Search button to the right of the search field. Results of the search are listed in the bottom half of the search dialog.

Click one of the listed results to view the text asset in the Browser.

To view more results use the forward and back buttons at the top of the results page to go to the first or last page or advance through the results a page at a time.

Click on the Move to Browser button to move the results to the asset browser. This is useful if you wish to further trim the results set and save them as a snapshot for future reference. Note that only the first 300 results will be moved to the browser.

Advanced Searching of Other Assets

The scope of the search can be modified to include one or more of any of the BBi asset types.

Simply click on Settings in the search dialog and check the asset types you wish to search in the Scope section. This can include the various types of text assets as well as the descriptions and captions of other assets such as illustrations.

Check the Show Thumbnails in Results option to see a small picture representation of the asset in the results list.

Check the Find Search Term in document to highlight and goto the item in the text document when you click on a result.

You can also search for a complete phrase by placing quotes around the entry in the Search Field (e.g. "eating fish").

Use the Sort Results by pulldown list to select how you wish to sort the results - either by frequency of the search term found in the document or by date order.
