Registering with BirdGuides is quick, easy – and FREE. There are three main
benefits of registration (all of which are optional):
- You can access our Bird News Extra
service. A chargeable service is available, but newly registered users can try
out the full service in (including Email Alert) FREE for 3 days. Once your free trial expires, even if you decide not to subscribe, you will still be able to view a free page that gives outline details of all bird reports we receive.
- We can send you a weekly newsletter by email, containing a summary of the past week's British and Irish rare
bird news, details of special offers and new bird-related products,
information on new features on our website and other items that we believe
will be of interest to you. You can opt out of the weekly email at any time.
- Provided you opt in to this weekly email, you'll
also be able to access our popular BirdMap page, free of charge.
We will not pass on your email address to any other company, and we will not send you unsolicited
email as a result of registering.
How it works
The registration process is as follows:
- You visit our registration page, where you supply your email address, choose a password, and decide whether or not you want to receive our free weekly emails.
- We'll send an automatic email to the address you provide.
- When the email arrives, you click on a link to confirm that you've received the message - this lets us know that we've got the right address.
- You'll then have temporary access to the full Bird News Extra and Email Alert service, and permanent access to the other features outlined above.
