Quite a long day with good views as we walked up and down along the scarp of the North York Moors. We took a short cut to Scarth Nick through the woods above Ingleby - quite hard going in places but probably worth it - it cut out a mile or so and some unnecessary ascent. We got briefly separated at Scarth Nick but not for long. A day interrupted by urgent phone-calls to solicitors and estate agents re my house move...not ideal as my phone was low on battery and the signal intermittent.
Our accommodation was in the friendly home of George and Nancy at Chop Gate, and we had our evening meal in the Buck Inn, Chop Gate.
Weather: mostly dry. Walk: 7/10. Mood: 7/10. Cumulative distance: 143¾ miles.
